E Litter Page Two

I ran out of sections I was allowed to add

So, this page will be a continuation of the E Litter Updates page.

Video From 4/10 and 4/12

These guys are really growing fast now, mentally and physically. I picked up some toys to help keep them entertained, and the squeaky tiger was a huge hit as you will see. Obviously, they have their dads prey drive in them!

Been A Ruff Day

I get home tonight and plan to spend a little time with the pups, this pretty much was the attitude, no pup time right now.

But

A check just after 8, before the storms roll in, and what do I find? The little white instigator was outside the fence in the yard! Last evening I was sitting in the kennel with the gate closed to keep Katie and Albert out, one of the pups went to the gate, pawed at it and started whining. I thought, no way, but I opened the gate and sure enough, he went out in the grass to poop! So no, males are not hard to break!

4/17/26 3 Males Still Available

I spent a little time this evening with some of the pups one on one. I managed to give 5 of the males a good examining, and I have to say, this may be the best overall litter of pups I've ever had. This guy thought I needed a bath. (He was right)

I was surprised how long each one just hung out with me, reminding me they have sharp teeth. Being away from the rest of the pups didn't seem to even enter their minds. This guy finally ran over to the fence to kiss up to mom and dad.

Meanwhile back in the yard, the instigator found an old toy and paraded back and forth along the kennel showing off to his brothers and sister, these guys won't take a back seat to any dog retrieving!

Collars and Attitude

The pups that needed collared for ID are now sporting shiny new ones. With their first shots and micro chipping this Tuesday it was time for a positive ID in the future, so the proper paperwork will go with the correct pup. I took a lot of videos today, but as always, it will need to wait until I have a faster connection to load it to Vimeo. These little guys really starting to get cranked up now, you'll see that in the videos.

With only one female there's no way to get the wrong information, as with the one male that is roan, so only six pus needed collared for guarantee that the proper documentation goes with the right pup.

I was in need of the collars and time snuck up on me. I got ahold of a friend, Jimmy Ridgeway, owner of Coon Creek Supplies just down the road in Dunkirk, to see if he had multicolored puppy collars in stock. It turns out he's working for another outfit that makes collars, chaps, vests etc. now as well as running his supply business, more on that later. Anyway, I talked to him late Thursday, Friday he made me these collars and dropped them off at my house Saturday! Numbers are now written on them with a Sharpie too, except the black one, that wouldn't work too well.

Below are just some general pictures from today, we'll have better information with the videos later, but where we stand right now is, there are 3 males available. These pups are from not only proven hunters they have serious hunters in their lineage too. If you have been toying with the idea of a pup, or know anyone else who is, this is an opportunity you don't want to miss.

Part 1 of a longer look at the different pups, you can start to see some attitudes.

6 Weeks Old, Vet Check, Shots and Chips Today

Big thumbs up from the Vet. Pups ranged from the little male at 5.7 lb., to a few at the 6.0 and 6.1 lb. range, then jumped up to the big boys from 6.9 to 7.1 lb.

During the whole office visit, shoes were untied and pants cuffs yanked on, but only 2 pee puddles. Not a single pup even made a whimper, even with the great big microchip needle, everyone in the room was impressed, well, maybe the pups not so much, but they didn't complain about it.

This is the before picture, they are all back home now, filling their bellies and carrying stuff around the yard.

3 males are still available, don't wait, they are going to get listed on AKC marketplace soon.

    4/24/26

Here is a video from last evening. The whole crew was really getting into it, except Ellie Mae, she was being a good girl. They were getting loud enough Katie came over a few times to see if she needed to break something up.

This whole litter has it. There are some different personalities, but they all have plenty of fire for in the field, smart and well built. There are still two pups available, they are ready to start going home next Saturday. If you are considering a pup, this is your chance,

    4/26/26

It seems we just started this journey and here we are coming to the end of it. Pups will start going to their new families this Saturday. Two will stay close to home here, one will go to New Jersey. Three will get picked up on Sunday, one to Texas, one to Missouri and one to Iowa. The seventh pup will be going to Tennessee later in May. If there is no other interest, then the last one will just be my next buddy. These are the last three.

    4/27/26

    Last Pup Standing

The 6th and 7th picks are now set, so that leaves us with light Blue #5 available. If someone is interested in him in the next couple weeks, I will let him go. After his booster shot, I will probably be too attached to him and at that point he'll be staying here with me, and I won't have any more litters.

One More Video Of The Last Pup Available

    5/2/26 Pups Heading Home

Eisen Rainer made the long trip home to New Jersey to the surprise of the Cowley's 10-year-old son. The introduction video showed an emotional surprise, and he was already retrieving a ball that evening!

Ellie Mae is hanging out now with the Fannon's in Hardin Co. It looks like she has moved in and made herself right at home and has already become buddies with their cat!

Otto is now making himself at home with the Sprang family just down the road in Hardin Co. I'm not sure who will wear out first, Otto or the three boys!

    5/3/26

    Early Morning Pickup

Carson Cansler, owner of KC Munsters in Oklahoma, stopped in at about 5:30 this AM and picked up 3 more pups that are headed out west. A long drive ahead of them, one pup will get delivered in Missouri on the way home, the other two will be picked up and heading to Texas and Iowa soon. With one pup that will go to Tennessee later, and one still available, it's really starting to seem empty around here, I will add pictures later.

    5/3/26

Roux, Trapper's Run Ezra, is now home with the Guilliams in Mo. He has already found his first pheasant wing by scent!

Something just doesn't seem right with this picture

He seems a little lost, but not long after this, that tiger was around the corner being worked over by him and his brother.

My Buddy Has a New Home Now

I had resigned myself to the fact that this guy was going to be my last up, but there was a flurry of contacts about him in the last few days, and this afternoon he headed to N. E. Ohio with Jamison and his mom Kaitlin. I think they are going to be best buddies, and Eli is going to make a bird hunter out of Jamison, make him forget about those deer and turkeys a little!

    5/9/2026

    Eike Goes Home to Tennessee

The West family has a pup from our very first litter, Augustus, aka Gus. He was the other male in Alberts litter, and at that time resided in West Virginia with a family of three. Now Gus resides in western Tennessee with three kids and now his nephew Eike! It's hard to believe that Gus and Albert are going to be nine years old in a matter of days.

Katie seems to be having a little issue with all the pups being gone, she's started carrying around one of their squeaker toys, something she has always done in the past when she was coming into heat. After two months of non-stop puppy action, I understand how she feels.

    End of the Line

Elvis and Ezra are still in Oklahoma waiting for pickup by their new families, but it sure is empty feeling around here now.
